You know the old saying, “It’s not over, ’till it’s over!” It is the truth. After everyone had given up hope, the miracles started to happen. One could argue that maybe God wanted it that way and they may be right. After so many years of suffering, pain and crying out to the Lord for help, He did answer. It wasn’t the way they had thought it would be, but then again it never is. God is God. He sees things from His perspective, through eternity and His plan for salvation for all mankind. Who are we to judge His ways? Yet, He gives us His Word and through everything He does, especially His timing, He always stays true to it. IT’S NOT OVER!
Are you at the end of your rope? Have you had enough of this life? Has the thought of going through another Christmas season all alone just finally gotten to you? You want to see an end to the suffering and depression, but yet you know deep inside that you really don’t want to miss that once in a lifetime moment, so you hang on desperately to the tiny sparkle of hope that’s in your heart. If your hope is in Him, you will be rewarded. The miracle will come and it will do more than you can imagine. A change, a miracle, suddenly, in the twinkling of an eye, just when almost all hope was lost or maybe you thought it was.
This is Janiece’s story and although she went through many years of struggling, first with her identity, then a major traumatic injury, into a sinking spiral of mental illness and finally face-to-face with a prognosis of certain death, the Lord was there at the right time to pull her back to life, bring healing and restoration. Her story is not in some far off distant past, but right here, now, in our generation. The Lord told her one day. “Tell My people, I love them!” She replied, thinking He was joking, like they would really listen to her, “Oh, they already know that!” She was immediately sobered by His reply, “No! No, they don’t!” She has since found this to be true. Most people don’t know that He truly loves them, even in all their weaknesses and sin.
I met Janiece after the main miracle and got to be a part of the restoration process for about three years until the Lord informed us that He wanted us to marry. Her mother pressed me over and over again to write her biography, which I finally completed this summer, only 17 years later. She didn’t get to see it. She went to be with the Lord on August 31, 2006. The Lord had wanted to add more to the story than just the original miracle.
There is hope for everyone. If He could do what He did for her, even in all that she was walking through, He can and will do it for anyone. “Tell My people, I love them!” Are you in a bad place?
