Jesus once told the story of the Rich Man and Lazarus in Luke 16:19-31,
… 27 “He answered, ‘Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my family, 28 for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’
29 “Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.’
30 “‘No, father Abraham,’ he said, ‘but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’
31 “He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’â€NIV
One of the things that constantly amazes me is to watch some of those we share Janiece’s story with. Some have even witnessed the miracles in her life as well as from her deathlike state to the miraculous journey of life. Some acknowledge it as a miracle and we see their lives change. Some acknowledge the miracle but don’t believe it can happen for them. Some just simply explain it away.
As I searched for this story above to copy and paste it, verse 31 went deep into my heart. “…they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.” Janiece’s story is true. It tells her awesome journey from certain death to a miraculous life filled with healing after healing. Some will hear or read and their lives will be changed forever. Some will hear or read but won’t believe it is for them. Still others will hear and walk away, explaining it to some science or coincidence. Still the truth remains, to all who hear, to those who believe, to those who desire change and make the choice to pursue it, will walk in the miraculous.
